The Intercollegiate Poetry Slam happens every month at the Bowery Poetry Club, on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. All college and university students are invited to perform and compete for glory and prizes. Everybody else is invited to judge the competition or just sit back, have a beverage and enjoy the show.

When: The Second Saturday of Each Month, 5:45-8 p. m.

Where: The Bowery Poetry Club, 308 Bowery, New York, New York. Take the F train to 2nd Avenue or 6 train to Astor Place, to get there.

Who: The poets and your hosts, George Guida, Bob and Christine Timm

Why: Why not? You could win.

How: Anyway you want. All styles are welcome. Go from memory, recite. Only no props, please.
