George is the author of four books, including The Pope Stories and Other Tales of Troubled Times (forthcoming). His fiction, poetry, and criticism appear in many journals and anthologies, including Alimentum, Barrow Street, Controlled Burn, Florida English, Hurricane Blues, Inkwell, Italian Americana, J Journal, the Journal of Popular Culture, Literature and Gender, the Long Islander, MELUS, New Hungers for Old, the Paterson Literary Review, the Place Where We Dwell: Reading and Writing about New York City, VIA, and Wild Dreams. George is also a playwright and a popular and enthusiastic performer of his work. 

George otherwise occupies himself as an associate professor of English at New York City College of Technology, as Poetry Editor of 2 Bridges Review, and as President of the the Italian American Studies Association.
